Glo has been climbing the Hip-Hop ladder for a while. “I would describe [my background] as modest, and I just kept working,” she told Refinery29. “I never gave up and I always had a Vision. Glorilla’s real name is Gloria Hallelujah.
When GloRilla had her success with “F. N.F.”, Fans knew that her name was Gloria Woods and that “GloRilla” was just a play on her first name. However, in October 2022, she shared that her middle name is “Hallelujah”, which caused a stir on Twitter. “&Why are you acting like Ian told you my middle name Hallelujah?”she tweeted. “Dates why I am so blessed and my father is so good, duhhhhhh!!!! She is originally from Northside Memphis.
“I grew up in church, but we still saw 106 & Park and BET,” Glo told XXL in September 2022. I loved Bow Wow, Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne.”She described herself as a quiet child with nine siblings – six boys, four girls – and grew up at home until the fifth grade, when childcare forced her mother to enroll school-age children in public school.
