Meryl Streep through the years

Meryl Streep (born June 22, 1949) is an American actress. She starred in more than 90 films and won three Oscars during her decades-long career. Meryl entered the scene for the first time with her impressive performance in “The Deer Hunter”, for which she received her first ever Oscar nomination.

Meryl would win her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the film “Kramer vs. Kramer” and would after win two more Oscars for her lead work in “Sophie’s Choice” and “The Iron Lady”. Meryl is the most nominated actress in the history of the Academy, with 21 nominations to her name in 2021. during Meryl’s career, she has been involved in theater, comedy, musical comedy and much more, and she has gone on television with absolute ease. Meryl is undoubtedly one of the most striking figures in Hollywood.

Meryl is not only an actress, but also a family woman. She married her husband Don Gummer in 1978 and they had four children together: Henry Wolfe Gummer, Mamie Gummer, Grace Gummer and Louisa Jacobson Gummer. All four children followed in their mother’s footsteps with careers in the enjoyment industry.
